Demand for payment of outstanding wages: letter generator
Prepare a written demand for your employer to pay outstanding amounts. The generator lists the amounts due, sets a payment deadline and adds a claim for statutory interest for late payment. You sign and deliver the letter yourself.
Only your browser processes the data you enter in the form. We do not save it or send it to a server.
The document is created in Polish. The letter goes to a Polish authority or employer, and Polish is the official language in Poland (Article 27 of the Constitution). The form and tips are translated, but we generate the letter in Polish. Write your description of the matter in Polish or ask someone to help you translate it.

When a demand makes sense
- The law does not require a demand before a complaint to the PIP or before a claim for wages. However, the letter sets out your claims, sets a deadline and is evidence of an attempt to settle the matter amicably.
- Claims under an employment relationship become time-barred 3 years after the due date (Article 291 § 1 of the Labour Code). A demand alone does not interrupt this period.
- Statutory interest for late payment is due for each day of delay (Article 481 § 1 of the Civil Code). The rate is published by the Minister of Justice in Monitor Polski. Interest calculator
